As a Curtin staff member, you are employed under a union-negotiated Certified Agreement. The Certified Agreement includes clauses regarding salary, job sharing, parental leave, home-based work and flexible working hours. A Certified Agreement is sometimes called an Enterprise Bargaining Agreement. At Curtin, we have three Certified Agreements, one for General Staff, one for Academic Staff and a specific agreement for Academic staff employed within Vocational Education and Training (VET).

In 2007 we developed the Indigenous Employment Strategy - a positive affirmation of our commitment to work collaboratively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander staff which recognises Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people as equal partners in education.
